I signed up for a beginning indoor track cycling class today at the Boulder Indoor Cycling track, in Boulder Colorado. Here is a short video I took after my class ended, of a group of folks getting their track certification. This is class 1 of a three class, six hour certification. All riders on the track must be certified before they are able to do open rides on the track.

If you ride a lot, you should!
This digested version of the pardo.net chain wear page will start you on your way. The page shows you how to measure your chain to determine whether or not your chain is stretched to much. According to their chain wear chart, even the better chains available last somewhere in the range of 95 to 110 hours of riding.
A worn out chain will begin to destroy your other drivetrain components-derailleurs, cassettes-expensive! Since the chain is the cheapest part of the set, consider changing your chain about every 3200 to 3900 ... read more...
